AFF Armor Soak Statistics

The leather cuirass is junk. I suggest allowing it to soak 1 point on a roll of 4,5, or 6. Rather than just on a 5 or 6. The cuirass covers the torso, just as the chain cuirass and the breast plate, it's just not as tough as the other two. So I say it should soak damage just as often.
ReplyDeleteAlong with simplifying weapon damage, one could assign fixed armor soak to the different armor types. Per encounter, they absorb a certain number of points before the character loses stamina. Or, they absorb N wounds (if using a fixed damage system) per encounter.
I personally am going to play with the basic AFF rules as is and see how it goes.
